EVGA Company until now, demonstrated only the advantages of water-blocks for GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470, developed in the close collaboration with swiftech company. The nickel-plated base of water-block from electrolytic copper has a massif set of small pins, which increase the area of cooled surface.
On official EVGA site appeared the photographs and the data about the productivity of water-blocks, which are installed on the GeForce GTX 480 and GeForce GTX 470 model, relating to the series FTW. Water-block has modular construction - the nickel-plated copper sole cools only video chip and memory microcircuits, for cooling load-bearing elements a separate plate is used. The upper part of water-block is made from polymer.  As assert EVGA representatives, in the case of GeForce GTX 470 passage from the regular cooler to the water-block allow to reduce the video chip temperature from 83 to 38 degrees Celsius.
