Processors with ARM- architecture are used predominantly in the mobile devices, where their low energy consumption ensure the high degree of independence. For the designation of mobile computers on the base of such processors is even devised special term - smartbook.
As reports associate with the reference to the statements of ARM holdings chapter, in the next twelve months we can expect server solutions on base of processors with ARM- architecture. It even now allow to create processors with four core, which work at 2 GHz frequency. There remains only to develop effective interface for information exchange between the processors in the server system. Similar solutions will reduce the energy consumption level of servers. | ||
