Now the desktop six-core  Intel processors are accessible only in the series core i7 extreme edition, which cost $999. The more accessible processor gulftown with the locked multiplier will appear in the third quarter this year. Core i 7-970 (3.2 GHz) model will have six core and 12 mb cache in the third level, and the absence of the free multiplier will lower the price to $500. In the fourth quarter Intel can release the faster processor series core i 7 -9xx with six core, which will operate at 3.33 GHz frequency.
