One popular Internet- store already appeared the possibility to introduce a variety of GeForce GTX 460. Today on NVIDIA site appeared the press release, which reported that the GeForce GTX 460 version with 768 mb memory can be purchased even now on the price from $199, and the GeForce GTX 460 version with 1 Gb memory will appear on sale not earlier than on 26 July on the price from $229. Both video card versions were based on 40 nm GF104, which contains 1,95 billion transistors. GF104 video chip  has 384 stream processors, eight blocks. GeForce GTX 460 has only 336 stream processors. Maximum energy consumption falls from 160 to 150 W, but both versions GeForce GTX 460 are equipped with two six-pin power connector.  Producer recommends a power unit with not less than 450 W. Default frequencies in both cases are equal to 675/1350/3600 MHz. GeForce GTX 460 obtained the completely successful relationship of productivity,  energy consumption level and noise. This is one of the most economical and coldest video card, which ensure a similar speed level.   According to NVIDIA concept, GeForce GTX 460 will be similar on the performance of  more than the half of GeForce GTX 480, but in this case it is cheaper by more than twice. GeForce GTX 460 with 768 mb memory is approximately 1.5 time slower than GeForce GTX 480, the difference in the cost as minimum double. GeForce GTX 460 possesses compact amounts of printed-circuit boards: 111 X 210 mm. The regular cooling system of GeForce GTX 460 in many respects resembles to the alternative video card MSI  series cyclone.
