The Taiwan producers of discrete controllers USB 3.0 have a good stimulus to saturate the market by their production, but series devices with USB 3.0 support most frequently use NEC controllers. Problem consists in the fact that far from all proposed by Taiwan's brands USB 3.0 controllers passed official USB-IF certification.
Renesas technology company received the corresponding certificate recently. This allowed Renesas to negotiate with AMD the introduction of USB 3.0 support at the south bridge level in hudson chipset.
As explains associate, almost no one from the Taiwan producers of USB 3.0 controllers is ready to propose a similar certificate, and therefore, devices producers rarely focus attention on the alternative suppliers of USB 3.0 controllers. At least, in the present year demand on them will be limited. From other sides, the notebook producers hope for the release of Intel chipset with USB 3.0 support, but they have to await as a minimum up to 2012.
