GobalFoundries company on the passing during these days technological conference GTC 2010 described about its successes in the mastery of new technical processes. It was first in obtaining the first prototypes of dual core processors ARM cortex-A9, made on 28 nm technology. On the plans of collaboration with ARM , Globalfoundries reported in the past year, the release of series processors with ARM- architecture will start at the end of 2010. Let us note, that at this conference AMD representatives demonstrated silicic plate with 32 nm processors llano, which will appear in the market in the following year. Globalfoundries described on GTC 2010 about its successes in the improvement of 28 nm technical process indices, which obtained variety HPP (High performance plus), which allow either to increase the  transistors operating speed by 10% relative to base version or to reduce the  energy consumption level. For devices with the lowered energy appetite is developed the version of 28 nm technical process  SLP (Super low power). All 28 nm globalfoundries products will use transistors with the metallic lock and materials with high value of dielectric constant (HKMG). Risky production of chips with HPP application will start in the fourth quarter 2011. In the second-half of 2011 globalfoundries will release the first models of 22/20 nm microcircuits. Mass production will start in 2013. Technological process with 20 nm standards will be proposed in two versions: High performance and Super low power. For 22 nm technical process will be provided the version Of super high performance. Related Products :
