Samsung company on this week announced the dual core processor orion with ARM cortex-A9 architecture, which works at 1 GHz frequency. On the speed it exceed its single core predecessor by 50%, and the operating time from battery will increase. It is important that the processor graphic system will raise its speed by five times. It not only allow to playback HD video with 1080p quality and 30 frames per second, but also to record it. Orion processor will obtain 1 mb cache in the second level, support serial ATA and eMMC interfaces, memory controller will ensure compatibility with LPDDR2 and DDR3. If predecessor was released on 65 nm technology, then Orion will be produced on 45 nm technical process. The deliveries of processor will begin in the fourth quarter this year, but series products will appear only in the following half-year. | ||
