It became known today that ARM company intends to acquire Prolific. Prolific - a private U.S. company. Since 1995, it specializes in developing software for optimization of integrated circuits in their design. The use of such software greatly reduces development time and improves the performance of designed circuits. According to ARM, the increasing complexity of designing the transition to the technological process in compliance with 20 nm or less increases the need for computer-aided optimization of topology. Acquisition of Prolific line with ARM strategy , aimed at providing innovative intellectual property that will allow partners to continue to lead in the ARM SoC implementing solutions that feature a high degree of integration and low power consumption. ARM and Prolific have a long history of cooperation. After absorbing, the Prolific team will become part of ARM subdivision, based in the United States. The amount of the transaction were not disclosed. | ||
