Assocaite tested the new firmware for SSD Crucial M4.
The test was based on motherboard ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, processor Intel Core i5-2300, two modules DDR3-1333 memory 2 GB card and MSI GeForce 8800 GTS 640 MB. The drive 256 GB Crucial M4 with firmware 0009 was compared with : ADATA S511 60GB (3.1.9), Extrememory XLR8 Express 60 GB (3.1.0), Extrememory XLR8 Express 120 GB (3.1.9), Intel SSD 320 300 GB, Intel SDD 510 250 GB (PWG2), Kingston HyperX 240 GB (3.2), OCZ Agility 240 GB (2.06) and Crucial M4 (0002). The operating system used was Windows 7 Professional SP1 64-bit edition.
The new firmware enables Crucial M4 drive distinct advantage. For example, increase the read speed by 100 MB / s (25%) , increase writng speed by 59%. Crucial M4 with firmware 0009 is faster than a similar model with firmware version 0002. Related Products :
