The fact that interest in netbooks was heavily reduced, is clear at least from sales statistics of Atom processor. Many manufacturers of mobile computers have either refused to release netbooks, or significantly reduced the range of proposed models.
According to comments of official Toshiba representatives, on the American market, the company will no longer offer new netbooks models, preferring to focus on ultrabooks. Dell and Lenovo have taken such a decision some time ago, Samsung and Sony followed them . Only HP, Acer and Asus netbooks continue to sell in the U.S., regularly releasing new models. It is possible that Toshiba will continue to sell netbooks in other markets. Note that Toshiba is now quite actively expanding the tablets range, offering a model with 13-inch screen.
