Sapphire announced the release of video card called HD 7970 6GB TOXIC Edition. The card is based on the original PCB design and cooling system equipped with a Vapor-X, based on the evaporation chamber, four heat pipes (two 8-mm and two 6-mm), and two 90-millimeter fan. The 12-layer PCB has bilateral Black Diamond Choke inductors and transistors DirectFET, components of the GPU voltage converter, numbering eight phases, and three-phase VRM memory. The number of memory chips, GDDR5, GPU connected to the 384-bit interface is 24 pieces.  Base frequency of the GPU Tahiti is 1050 MHz, by PowerTune value may automatically increase up to 1100 MHz video memory running at 6000 MHz QDR. The Lethal Boost Button, activates the settings that correspond to overclock of 1100 MHz (1200 MHz PowerTune) for the core GPU and 6400 QDR memory.
