The budget sector in desktop market is not the only place for Pentium trade mark . Intel has also the available mobile version for new Pentium processors : e2140 (1.6 GHz) and Pentium e2160 (1.8 GHz) . Those mobile processor are oriented only for OEM- market.
The mobile dual cores processors Pentium (T serie : Txxx ) support 533 MHz system bus and have 1mb cache in the second level. They are released on 65 NM technical process; however, they don't have any relation with the progressive architecture core. These are dual core processors yonah with the reduced to 1mb cache in the second level, based on stepping D0 . Therefore these processors do not support the expansion intel 64.
Let us examine the characteristics of those mobile dual cores :
- Pentium t2130 - > two core, frequency 1.86 GHz, 533 MHz system bus, 1mb cache in the second level, TDP=31 W, Vcore not more than 1.3 v;
- Pentium t2080 (SL9VY) - > two core, frequency 1.73 GHz, 533 MHz system bus, 1mb cache in the second level, TDP=31 W, Vcore not more than 1.3 v;
- Pentium t2060 (SL9VX) - > two core, frequency 1.6 GHz, 533 MHz system bus, 1mb cache in the second level, TDP=31 W, Vcore not more than 1.3 v.
Intel does not report the wholesale prices of these processors, since they are intended for OEM- channels. However, in some retail store these models are encountered frequently. The price Of Pentium T2060 (1.6 GHz), for example, varies from $59 to $86. The processor Pentium t2080 (1.73 GHz) was presented only during April this year. Its cost does not exceed $100.
The given mobile processors have the design concept 478 pins. A Sufficiently rare combination : socket 478, two core and trade mark Pentium. These are the cheapest intel mobile processors with two cores.
So buyer be aware -- Mobile E2160 or E2140 is largely different from the Txxx serie . Related Products :
