AMD plan to release the retail version radeon HD 2900 XT with 1 Gb GDDR-4 memory o , which corresponds to video card from OEM- assembly , it appeared in retail - first in the Japan, then in Europe and American. As explained to us some time ago video card producers , price increase for the additional 512 mb faster memory (GDDR-4) will compose approximately $150. Over-payment with 30% size did not arrange many; however, for many the difference between the cost of two versions radeon HD 2900 XT is just nothings :-) . We deal here the American retail. one popular Internet- store, it is possible to reveal the price $489 for the video card radeon HD 2900 XT with 1 Gb GDDR-4 memory from OEM sapphire productions .  In the same store the version radeon HD 2900 XT with 512 mb GDDR3 memory from sapphire production ( box version ) cost $399. Thus, the difference in video card price is $90 or 23%. A Completely adequate price.  This store proposes also the video card GeForce 8800 GTX ( box version) for $529. So for the additional 40$ it is a lot better to go with the Geforce card....
