Barcelona Servers processors will start in the current block from 2.0 GHz and to the end of year they will reach higher frequencies. Desktop processors ( phenom family ) will be released later, therefore initial frequencies will be higher than Barcelona. For example, According to June road map , AMD indicated the frequency 2.6 GHz as maximum for the four core processors phenom generation , and 2.8 GHz frequency as the maximum for dual core processors. With the favorable course of events these processors will reach similar frequencies in the first quarter 2008 . However, no one talked about forecast, with what rates will be increased the frequencies of AMD processors ( following generation).  In the opinion of some expert, AMD will be able to increase the frequencies of barcelona processors approximately by 10% in each block. Thus, after the beginning in this block from 2.0 GHz, to the autumn in the following year AMD company will approach the 3.0 GHz range. We should consider that increase in the clock frequencies for desktop processors ( phenom generation ) can be faster ,  they are less attached to the rigid requirements for the heat emission level and also can exist in various dual cores stepping.
