Back in May this year, the fund Third Point founder Daniel Leeb (Daniel Loeb), which owns seven percent of the shares Sony, made a proposal to sell a fifth of the shares of entertainment division of the company through a public offering, thereby giving it some independence.

Management believes that Sony, the company will be better able to develop if retain 100 percent control of the division, which produces motion pictures, television programs and music.
