Gigabyte company has introduced its new low-end graphics accelerator cards based on GeForce GT 640, designated GV-N640D5-2GI. The device is based on the energy efficiency 28-nm graphics chip Nvidia GK208, has 384 stream processors, 32 TMU and 8 ROP. Also available 2 GB of GDDR5 graphics memory using 64-bit memory bus, instead of the standard 128-bit. Accelerator is produced on full-frame PCB length 177 mm, 120 mm in width and 30 mm in height.

Frequency for GV-N640D5-2GI chip and memory is as follows: 1046 MHz (dynamic overclocking feature is not supported) / 5010 MHz, respectively.
Graphics card has a Dual-Link DVI-D, HDMI and D-Sub video output and connection interface PCI Express 2.0 x8 (PCI-E 2.0 x16 with a few missing pins). The card can display an image on two monitors at the same time, the maximum resolution - 2560 x 1600 pixels.
