MediaTek company in 2014 will bet not only on processors for tablets , but on promising market segments like wearable computers. Anyway, MT6572 dual core processor is already registered in smart watch of Hong Kong company Omate.
The device is running Android, MT6572 processor has a default frequency of 1.3 GHz. It can also offer WiFi support, FM, GPS and Bluetooth. MT6572 processor used to create budget smartphones, but some of the functions of smart watches with them can be crossed. MediaTek processor manufacturers use wearable computers allows us to hope that prices begin to approach a more democratic level.
MT6572 processor uses two core architecture Cortex-A7 and is available on 28-nm technology. It is able to work with the camera resolution up to 5 megapixels, recording video at 720p resolution at 30 frames per second. Smart Watch Omate TrueSmart can work in networks separately from smartphone. They also allow to record video and take pictures. Version with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of storage is estimated at $ 249. The watch will be available in more than 50 countries.
