Built into the motherboard audio solution is usually suitable only for playing audio alerts system and encoded music files, and sound quality fans have to additionally purchase a discrete audio board. Last week, ASUS company introduced another model sound card called Essence STX II.
The device is designed for installation in slot PCI Express x1, of the main characteristics of the solution can be identified as follows:
- frequency range 10-90 000 Hz;
- signal / noise ratio at the output of 124 dB RCA, headphone output - 120 dB for line input - 118 dB;
- THD + Noise (THD + N) 0.0003%;
- sampling frequency 192 000 kHz;
- standards support Dolby Digital Live, Dolby Pro-Logic II, Dolby Virtual Speaker and Dolby Headphone.
Interestingly, the Essence STX II is equipped with a portable operational amplifiers (originally installed chip MUSES 8820 MUSES and 8920, included in the kit MUSES 8820 and LME 49720). ASUS also offers a model Essence STX II 7.1, which additionally attached board with six outputs RCA, which has replaced another nine operational amplifiers (LM4562 NA and JRC 2114D).
