It has long been rumored on the web that for the protection of new smartphone iPhone screens will apply sapphire crystal. And Apple indirectly confirmed and patented a new technology connected with sapphire coating.
According to our Western colleagues from AppleInsider, the U.S. Patent Office has approved another patent for Apple. This time it managed to patent a special coating that protects the sapphire crystal of grease and dirt.
The patent, entitled oleophobic coating for sapphire describes in detail the method of application to display sapphire thin film, which protects it from dirt and grease, but also makes it easy to wash dirt.
It should be noted that for the first time Apple has used oleophobic coating for the screen iPhone 3GS in 2009, and since then all the screens of mobile devices are protected from grease and dirt in a similar way. Related Products :
