A month and a half ago, the entire product line retail SSDs ADATA consisted almost exclusively of solutions based controllers LSI SandForce SF-2281, only one model (Premier Pro SP600) based on the controller JMicron JMF661. But in early April appeared Premier Pro SP920, based on fresh controller Marvell 88SS9189.
ADATA yesterday reported about drives called Premier SP610.
But this time, the company's choice fell on another controller - namely, released in August last year, Silicon Motion SM2246EN, which focuses on a budget entry-level segment .
General characteristics of the presented Premier SP610 : four SM2246EN paired with synchronous MLC NAND, Micron produced on 20 nm process technology. Crystals themselves have a density of NAND 128 Gbps, which is becoming the standard for budget drives in 2014.
