Yesterday, Samsung has published an extensive press release, the essence of which is reduced to a simple phrase: design semiconductors with production standards 14 nm and FinFET transistors possible now.  It is an adaptation to the issue with the new regulations based SoC architecture ARM.  We must understand, Apple has got into the hands of all the necessary tools to start designing 14-nm SoC A9. These tools provide Samsung partners   - specialists in the design of packages for Cadence and Synopsys. Production of relevant products will be established in one of the 300-mm factories  using two reticles (photomasks).  This same process technology, Samsung has licensed GlobalFoundries company .  If all goes according to plan, production of 14 nm solutions in significant volumes, Samsung will begin later this year.  SoC, released using 14 nm process and vertical transistors, Samsung will show on the 51st annual conference of Design Automation Conference.
