In the first quarter 2008 , AMD company will release the video chip RV635 and RV620, oriented to the lower part of average price range and budgetary segment . AMD will release on 55 nm technology the chips RV670, RV635 and RV620 - There is no exact information about the technical process used in r680 chip . On 65 nm technical process are produced the g92 and G98 chips  for NVIDIA, whose announcement will takes place at the end of October and November. The nearest novelty from AMD - chip RV670, will be released on more thin 55 nm technical process. Analogous technology will be used for the production of RV620, RV635, and also high end R680 in the first quarter of the following year  . If we considers that previous high end chip AMD (R600) was produced on 80 nm technical process, and in this case it was famous by high energy consumption, passage immediately on 55 nm technical process can be considered as favorable factor for R680 .
