Six months ago, we wrote about plans to release several new JMicron controllers. And now, Galax company (better known under our brand Galaxy) demonstrated a sample of retail product of one of them.
SSD-drive Series Hall of Fame (HOF).
It is based on the controller JMicron JMF811, and communication with the system takes place on four-lane PCI-Express 2.0. Declared Speed characteristics are equal to 1,600 MB / s for read and write operations. Supposed to release three versions volume 1, 2 and 4 TB.
As we can see on the PCB there is a set of capacitors, responsible for data protection in the event of an unexpected power outage. It is difficult to judge whether this feature is for the engineering model or this decision will be applied in serial products.
Notable is the use of white PCB , but it is - already quite serial solution for Galax.
For more information, as well as the results of some tests, most likely, we will know within the upcoming CES 2015, which opens on January 6 in Las Vegas. Related Products :
