Sapphire company decided to use original cooling system for Radeon HD 3870 series ATOMIC , which exploits
the principle of vaporizing chamber. This close relative of
thermal tube promised to combine high efficiency with modest
overall sizes.  As promised, video card Atomic Radeon HD 3870 is supplied with three-meter cable HDMI and gift coupon ( $30 ).  Here is the one slot cooling system the major radiator portion is made from aluminum.  Producer declares, that the vaporizing chamber has up to 50% lower thermal resistance in comparison with copper, and the heat transfer rate is two times higher.  Radeon HD 3870 video card is equipped with 512 mb Gddr-4 memory , and at default it is overclocked to 825/2400 MHz. Unfortunately, associate was able to increase the graphic core frequency by only 8 MHz . This new cooling system allowed to reduce the video chip temperature by 5 degree Celsiuses at idle state, and by 9 degree Celsius under load, in comparison with standard dual slot cooler . The noise level using the new cooler is much lower in any regimes. The most pleasant, that Sapphire is assembled to take only $10-15 more over the Radeon HD 3870 standard designs.
