Today appeared the first detailed comparison of Radeon HD 3670 with 256 mb Gddr-3 memory and its predecessor Radeon HD 2600 xt with 256 mb Gddr-3 memory . Let us note immediately that functional changes in video chip are not so many : DirectX 10.1 and Shader Model 4.1, and also interface DisplayPort support. The number of stream processor remained as before: 120 , 16 textural units, 8 textural filtration units , 4 blocks of ROPS. The memory bus remained at 128- bit, New video card support memory types : Gddr-2, Gddr-3 and Gddr-4.  Due to the passage on thin 55 nm technical process it was possible to decrease the core area by 20%. Heat emission was reduced - video chip under load is colder by 9 degree Celsius . The technology of energy-economy reduces the frequencies of video card in idle state to 110/810 MHz, under load they rise to 800/1600 MHz. Video card is equipped with 256 mb Gddr-3 memory with access time 1.0 ns from Samsung production .It was possible to overclock the Radeon HD 3670 to 840/2100 MHz, but stability was preserved only at 825/2052 MHz frequencies. Speed test result in comparison with Radeon HD 2600 xt are about the same - average speed in games is increased by 3%, the Radeon HD 3670 will be more technologically effective and potential cheaper replacement for the Radeon HD 2600 xt.
