The yesterday comparison between the GeForce 8800 gs and GeForce 9600 gt allowed to understand that with higher resolution the first card became slower and this is due to the 192- bit memory bus. The GeForce 8800 gs has 96 stream processors against 64 in GeForce 9600 gt; XFX Company  proved to be in the number of those privileged NVIDIA partners , which was officially permitted to release the GeForce 8800 gs . XFX prepared for announcement the video card GeForce 8800 GS 680M XXX. As it is possible to understand from the name and  photograph, this video card has the same design as GeForce 8800 GT from XFX production , and it obtained the increased frequencies to 680/1600 MHz - standard version works at 575/1700 MHz frequencies. The number of stream processor was decreased from 112 to 96 pieces , the memory system bus is equal to 192 bits instead of 256 bits (8800 GT). The memory volume was reduced from 512 mb to 384 mb.
