Samsung actively promoted in mass Tizen. In particular, it focuses on the markets of developing countries to provide smartphones with access to the internet users who are not willing to spend a lot of money to buy a new mobile device. And I must say, Samsung effort pays off.
Analysts at research firm Strategy Analytics, which refers to the publication SamMobile, argue that in 2015 Samsung sold more than three million smartphones with Tizen operating system on board. Moreover, the bulk of sales come from Bangladesh, Nepal and India. And Samsung plans to soon come up with a Tizen-smartphone on the Russian market, to win at least part of the Android Market.
It is noted that currently Tizen is the fourth largest mobile operating system after Android, iOS and Windows Phone.
