The video card geForce 9800 GT due to better cooling system and intensive power system possesses higher overclocking potential in comparison with GeForce 8800 GTS 512 mb.
Victor Van continues his experiments with geForce 9800 GTX overclock . He Noted that the voltmod for geForce 9800 GTX did not change in comparison with others single video cards on base of g92 chip . After using voltmod, Victor Van increased the chip voltage in IDLE state from 1.21 v to 1.38 v, under load the voltage grew from 1.28 v to 1.42 v. For video chip cooling we have here thermalright HR-03GT and the powerful delta fan .

The video card succeeded to overclock from 675/1688/2200 MHz to 900/2250/2538 MHz frequencies. Actually, it could operate at core and memory frequencies 908/2646 MHz, but stability in this mode was not observed.

The test results at frequencies 900/2250/2538 MHz paired with the overclocked to 4.05 GHz dual core processor xeon e3110 (3.0 GHz) are given below:

3DMark2001 SE - > 67 446 points;
3DMark'03 - > 38 998 points;

3DMark'05 - > 26 082 �points;

3DMark'06 - > 17 033 points.

Further results improvements will be proposed with the passage to liquid cooling or liquid nitrogen. We hope that new drivers forceWare 174.40 will add speed to the video card geForce 9800 GTX in 3- way SLI regime.
