AMD Company as part of CES 2017 will present new technology FreeSync 2. If FreeSync technology is used to synchronize monitor refresh rate and frequency of the video provided by the video output on the graphics card, the new technology FreeSync 2 is designed to improve the output image with high dynamic range (HDR).
To display an image with high dynamic range requires a bit more time than normal image output, which is connected with the need to display more colors. When watching movies and most other tasks it does not play a big role, but in games long delays when displaying on the display can create inconvenience for users.
FreeSync technology Objective 2 is simple - reduce the delays in the withdrawal of HDR-images by excluding (a significant reduction) of the process output image tone mapping stage (Display tone mapping). Also, switching between HDR and conventional display mode graphics drivers will be monitored.
Unfortunately, it is not known exactly when the first display technology to support FreeSync 2 will be on sale, but it's probably going to happen this year. Related Products :
