High performance in a compact size - is a relatively new fetish, for which computer enthusiasts in recent years are willing to overpay. Despite a lot of engineering challenges that accompany the creation of such products, the manufacturers of video cards and motherboards are trying to regularly introduce new products that can be accommodated in compact packages of system units. ZOTAC company at Computex 2017 will show two video cards GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini series, each of which will take
no more than 190 mm in length.
The variant of a novelty with a water block was awarded its own additional designation "ArcticStorm". For additional power supply a pair of eight-pin connectors is provided. Unification of the design with the usual version of the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini, which is equipped with an air cooling system, led to the presence of a two-tier rear panel - "on the second floor," a DVI port was requested.
On the reverse side, the video card is covered with a metal plate. Version GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Mini with air cooling system is equipped with two relatively large fans.
On the back side and this graphics card provides a strengthening plate.
At the same time, ZOTAC is preparing to demonstrate its first external case for the video card, which is connected to laptops via the Thunderbolt 3 interface. The video card that is in the special window should not exceed 230 mm in length, there is no information about its maximum power consumption.
The external case of ZOTAC VGA Box provides for the presence of four USB 3.0 ports, as well as an additional USB port with the function of fast charging of mobile devices connected to it. The company will also showcase the Computex 2017 series of compact desktop PCs and an external solid state drive with a USB hub function that connects to a laptop or desktop system through the same Thunderbolt 3 interface.
