Intel Corporation did not hurry to bring to market a full range of models of Skylake-X processors in the LGA 2066 version, limited to the May announcement of the 10-core version. The latter recently registered in the official price list , but with the launch of E3 2017 the company admitted that it will be possible to order these processors only from June 19, and they will go on sale a week later. At least now end users have a benchmark in terms of availability of systems with a LGA 2066 processor
socket and the first processors of the corresponding assortment. Until now, we had to be satisfied with the description of the experiment using engineering samples.
At the same time, it was announced that it would be possible to buy a Core i7-7920X processor with 12 cores only in August, and the rest of the family, including the older Core i9-7980XE with 18 cores, will be available only in October this year. It's hard to say whether the news is good or bad - some sources have recently hinted that the flagship processor will be delayed until next year. Again, if AMD introduces the 16-core Ryzen Threadripper to the market by the end of the summer, then Intel
will have the last word, and it can delay it until October. Related Products :
