AMD company website has an expanded list of DDR4 memory modules that have been tested for compatibility with Ryzen processors. In motherboards with an AM4 connector, any modules can work, but not every memory is capable of reaching treasured frequencies, up to DDR4-3200. Previously, stable work during overclocking was demonstrated mainly by memory modules on chips made of Samsung "b" crystals. Now, if you look at the updated list on the AMD website, the range of "compatible" modules has significantly expanded.
Also, to work memory from the list, you need to update the BIOS to compatibility with AGESA version 1.0.0.6. New motherboards can go with the BIOS, in which this package of AMD add-ons is already taken into account, but BIOS will have to be updated on previously purchased motherboards.
