The dense integration of information technologies in all spheres of human activity causes the need for data transmission speed . Meanwhile network infrastructure is not always capable to effectively increase the capacity without large expensive . Intel company presented this week the network adapter standard 10GBASE- T, which allow to transmit data with 10 Gbit/s speed in the distance up to 100 m with the use of copper cables category 6a, and to the distance up to 55 m with copper cables category 6 ( data transmission speed = 1 Gbit/s ). Thus, the owners of networks on base of 6 or 6a cable category can pass to the higher data transmission speeds with a simple replacement of network adapters on the server. Usually for data transmission speeds approximately 10 Gbit/s it is required to pass to fiber-optic cables. The cost of this adapter will be $999, on sale it will appear at the end of this month.
