The Known overclocker k|ngp|n overclocked three video card geForce GTX 280.

The EVGA motherboard (nForce 790i Ultra SLI. chipset) was coupled with three video card geForce GTX 280 , the central processor core 2 Extreme QX9650 (3.0 GHz) and 2 X 1Gb DDR 3-1800 memory from corsair productions . In this case the processor was overclocked to 4501-4504 MHz frequencies . Here are the results in 3DMark vantage with the different video card frequencies:

702/1511/2396 MHz - > X14717;
710/1528/2396 MHz - > H19867;
710/1528/2396 MHz - > P24352;
710/1528/2396 MHz - > E44750.

Let us note that those three video card geForce GTX 280 worked in the regime 3- way SLI. The author notes that those video cards can easily overclock to 760 MHz ( core ) with the default voltage .

Passage to liquid nitrogen allowed the processor to overclock up to 5606 MHz, and also video card frequencies were increased :

980/1963/2396 MHz - > X17241;
947/1904/2396 MHz - > H23232;
1024/2059/2396 MHz - > P29416;
972/1963/2396 MHz - > E54519.

The GDDR3 memory from hynix production with access time 0.8 NS show a completely good result. It was stably overclocked to 2396 MHz witch is close to its absolute rating.
