The released officially yesterday GT200 Video chip , presented two video cards: GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260. Those cards are characterized not only by characteristics, but also by the recommended prices level . The recommended price for the GeForce GTX 260 is $399, while the cost Of geForce GTX 280 remained at the previous level - $649.
Here are the characteristics of the GeForce GTX 280 :

The release of GT200 was also followed by the adaptation of CUDA . In this plan CUDA support will be added in all NVIDIA video cards , beginning from GeForce 8800 GT. But if we speak about the consumer qualities of GT200 video card , then the special progress is noticeable in the energy-economy. In the idle mode the chip frequency is reduced to 100 MHz, and the energy consumption level of the entire video card will be reduced to 25 W. Finally, hybrid power technology in the motherboard with the integrated graphic core NVIDIA allow to completely disconnect the video card.
Under load the geForce GTX 280 is also characterized by acceptable energy requirement. Cooling system is well balanced .
The geForce GTX 280 overclock in air to 750-760 MHz . Memory in individual cases is overclocked to 2500-2600 MHz DDR this is also good.
