Overpaying $30 for the GeForce 9800 GTX+, user will obtain not only the high core frequencies , but also the new 55 nm video chip g92b. For NVIDIA the passage to the new technical process means a reduction in the prime production cost . Usually, new technical process is capable to simultaneously bring improvements in the frequency potential and/or decrease in the energy consumption level. Today associate revealed that the passage on 55 nm technical process did not make the GeForce 9800 GTX+ more economical . This card consume more electric power, than GeForce 9800 GTX. The reduction in energy consumption was replaced by the increase in frequencies. Associate explained that the geForce 9800 GTX+ is equipped with 0.83 ns GDDR3 memory from Hynix production H5RS5223CFR-N2C. Let us recall that the GeForce 9800 GTX was equipped with 0.83 ns by GDDR-3 microcircuits from samsung production . In both cases the memory works at default frequency 2200 MHz DDR, and leaves some reserve for overclock . | ||
