NVIDIA desperately fights with AMD , reducing the prices of its video cards series GeForce GTX 2xx. However NVIDIA do not have a large price drop capability since the GT200 video chip is released on 65 nm version with large area and high prime cost. The only solution is the transfer of GT200 chip on 55 nm technology production. Associate report that the announcement of 55 nm geForce GTX 280 successor ( NVISION 08 ) will pass at the end of August in san jose, state California. August is a favorable period for the announcements of new graphical solutions, since in September - October buyer demand begins to grow after the summer period . Moreover, in the second-half of August AMD will start to supply the radeon HD 4870 X2, and NVIDIA has to prepare some answer to this productive two-chip graphical solution. |
