Qimonda company succeeded in becoming AMD partner in the sphere of memory microcircuits delivery (GDDR-5) for the newest Video card. GDDR-5 chips from qimonda production appeared on radeon HD 4870 and Radeon HD 4870 X2. But in order to prevent potential scarcity AMD could be insured, after concluding agreements with other memory suppliers . According to one member in XtremeSystems witch published a mini review of the radeon HD 4870 X2 from diamond multimedia productions . This video card revision already uses memory from hynix production : Using a modded bios the author was able to overclock the video card to 850/4000 MHz. The GDDR-5 microcircuits from qimonda production in this case overclock up to 4800 MHz DDR. | ||
