It was considered that GT200 video chip will move to the 55 nm technical process before the end of year, and will present life to the successors GeForce GTX 280 and GeForce GTX 260. The more thin technical process could allow NVIDIA to create a two-chip graphical solutions. However, according to slide from NVIDIA roadmap, the video card geForce GTX 260 and GeForce GTX 280 will obtain successors in different ways. In particular, 55 nm chip on GT206, which will appear at the end of present year, will become base for video card which will replaces the current GeForce GTX 260. The GeForce GTX 280 replacement will be proposed in the first quarter 2009, with GT212 chip . Slide contains a references about the more thin technical process. Clearly one- chip GT212 will be released already on 45 nm or 40 nm technology. Let us note that at the end of  years new GeForce 9800 GTX+ version will appear also , which is already based on 55 nm chip. Possibly, this veriosn relates only to ELSA company production . Thus, new high end card from NVIDIA will appear not earlier than the following year. I Related Products :
