After the official annoucement of radeon HD 46xx video card on base of RV730 chip , appeared slides from AMD presentations, which include additional characteristics of radeon HD 4550 video card on base of RV710 chip .
Let us recall that 55 nm RV710 chip will be satisfied by the 64- bit bus and 80 streams processors. The number of transistors in RV710 chip will be equal to 242 mln. pieces. Furthermore, RV710 chip will obtain 8 textural addressing units and 8 textural filtration blocks , and here ROP block will be only one. The standard radeon HD 4550 will exist in two versions: with 512 and 256 mb DDR3 memory . The first will be a full-scale card with passive cooling, and the second - low-profile with active cooling. Which is characteristic, Radeon HD 4550 512 mb will obtain the uncommon combination of ports on the rear panel: DVI + displayPort + HDMI. The energy consumption level of this product will not exceed 25 W. Both radeon HD 4550 versions will work at 600/1600 MHz frequencies. The announcement Of radeon HD 4550 is planned for the end of September. Version with 512 mb DDR3 memory will be proposed for $49 (and above), version with 256 mb DDR3 memory from $39. | ||
