To the third quarter 2009 the representatives of nehalem architecture in the desktop segment will be the four core processors bloomfield LGA 1366. Those processor will work only with X58 motherboard.
The known overclocker and enthusiast sampsa published the photographs of Asus rampage II Extreme, which was exactly based on Intel x58 chipset.  Most likely, the cooling system will be improved in the final version , but now we have the capability to study the layout of basic elements . There are three slots PCI express x16 , work according to (PCI express x16 + PCI express x8 + PCI express x8). Note there is no chip nForce 200 SLI ; therefore SLI support will be provided by the Bios key Support to DDR- 3 memory will be released via six slots DIMM - two on each channel.  Here is the special circuit for reference processor voltage and QPI control . In all the processor has 16 phases, the memory system has three phases.  This motherboard has a special port for the display unit . Furthermore, here the special area for voltages measure with the aid of multimeter. The Technology was called Asus probeIT.
