We already reported , that NVIDIA will release soon the GeForce 9600 GSO (updated version) with G94 video chip, this will result in decrease in the quantity of stream processors in comparison with the present version, based on G92 chip with 96 processors and 192- bit memory bus.
Assocaite explained that this relative GeForce 9600 GT will be presented as competitor to Radeon HD 4650 at the end of present months. The G94 chip, which can be released on 65 nm and 55 nm technical process, will obtain 48 stream processors from the possible 64. In other words, its computational possibilities will be reduced by up to 25%.

The memory bus in this case will remain as before - it will preserve the 256 bits. The memory capacity in the new GeForce 9600 GSO will be equal to 256 or 512 mb. The recomeneded cost will be below $100, since competing Radeon HD 4650 is already proposed for $70.
