AMD company today officially presented the video card radeon HD 4830 - sufficiently interesting product on base of RV770 chip with 640 stream processors.

Currently we can observe the radeon HD 4830 from AMD partners (their own design) : frequency 575/1800 MHz and 512 MB GDDR3 memory with the 256- bit bus.

The standard version radeon HD 4830 already exists, but its not simple to distinguish it from the Radeon HD 4850 standard designs .

AMD partners already developed their design for the radeon HD 4850, which allow to economize on the prime production cost . Since Radeon HD 4830 will be a cheaper product, the standard video card version will interest only the limited producers circle , who did not create their versions radeon HD 4850.

Press release note that the price niche Of radeon HD 4830 is up to $150. In this case the recommended price for the radeon HD 4830 will be equal to $129, and stores can allow additional reductions from this level.

The quantity of textural blocks is reduced from 40 to 32 pieces, but the quantity of ROP's blocks is as before equal to 16 pieces.

The radeon HD 4830 on average is 15 % slower than the Radeon HD 4850 . As the basic competitor , AMD consider the GeForce 9800 GT, but in some games with the up to date drivers the NVIDIA card was faster than the Radeon HD 4830.

Moreover, in American stores the GeForce 9800 GT can be purchased for approximately $100.
