The first, is the announcement of first super-computer on base of X86 architecture, which reached the theoretical peak performance level : one petaflop (1015 operations with floating point per second). Such surprising performance is reached in the jaguar platform with more than 45 thousand four core AMD opteron processors, made on 45 nm technical process.
This AMD supers-computer is already in the list of ten fastest in the world (TOP10) . | ||
