The printed-circuit board for the GeForce GTX 295 is not protected , in contrast to the GeForce 9800 GX2. From one side this contributes in better cooling, from the other this lower the risk to randomly damage the card.
The GeForce GTX 295, in essence, consists on four basic elements : two printed-circuit boards, cooling systems and cover:
Now let us study the construction of both printed-circuit boards:
On the left side are located two DVI port, light-emitting diode, NVIO chips, and also PCI express and MIO interface .In the middle part, the graphic processor gT200b was arranged, encircled by fourteen memory chips , which form the 448- bit memory bus ( 896 MB ).
The second printed-circuit board has a more complex construction. On the left side are located the nForce200 chip , which is used for distributing the PCI express lines between the two graphic processors, NVIO chip, and external MIO interface, which is used for quad SLI systems on base of two GeForce GTX 295. In the right card side is located the six-pin power connector .
The construction of cooling system is less interesting.
It removes heat- immediately from the two graphic processors, three auxiliary chips (nForce200 and pair NVIO), 28 memory microcircuits and power-supply system elements. The fan pushes the air through numerous edges, which is ejected partially outside . For the heat transfer heat pipes are used , which are located inside the cooling system; therefore, we cannot see them.

First this chip was released on the 45 week of this year, which corresponds to 3-9 November. Thus, the chip is pretty new. The stepping of chip is B3. This means that this is already the third NVIDIA attempt to transfer the GT200 to the new technological process. Related Products :
