Some time ago we published the preliminary lists of motherboards compatibility with four core processors kentsfield, and the owners of products from gigabyte were for sure distressed by the fact that certain motherboards will be able to work with the processors kentsfield only in the revisions 2.xx. It was assumed that such boards will leave in the middle of October, and the part of Gigabyte existing motherboards will be able to work with Kentsfield after simple bios update . Judging by everything, yesterday the company gigabyte published the list of those motherboards, which are already ready to work with the processors core 2 Quad after bios update . The enumeration of motherboards models and the bios versions was applied:  As you see, all most popular boards on the base Of chipsets p965 and G965 are already ready to support kentsfield , although the corresponding bios versions still not released. we did not obtain commentaries from Gigabyte representatives ; however, it is possible to assume that in this month will be released the new motherboards revisions which can work with Kentsfield.
