Some associate promised that the performance increase from RV790 will be 25-30% in comparison with RV770 . It was assumed that major speed increase portion will be provided by the increase in the number of stream processors, and only a small part will be caused by increase in the clock frequencies from 750/3600 MHz to 850/3900 MHz.
Associate explain that RV790 will be limited only to the increase in the clock frequencies, but the increase in the number of functional blocks is not sure. Thus, information about the 30% boost risks to be unfounded. The announcement of RV790 video card will take place in April, since the graphic card models already begin to be extended. | ||
