While some producers announced the new video accelerators Radeon HD 4890, associate already obtained a working copy for test. The usual version HD 4890 works at the standard frequencies. The core has 800 stream processors and operates at  850 MHz frequency. The GDDR5 memory whose volume is 1 Gb operates at 3900 MHz.Test system has the following configuration: Processor: 3,6 GHz core 2 Extreme QX9770 Motherboard : Gigabyte x48 Memory : 2 Gb, DDR 2-800 Operating system : Windows VISTA ultimate SP1 As showed tests results in real gaming applications, the performance of RV790 and GTX 260 was identical with 1650 x 1050 pixels resolution ; however, at higher resolution (1920 x 1080 ), the Radeon card was a little inferior to the GeForce. If you had half a brain you would look up the specs and see the ATI 4890 dominates the GTX260!!! It matches the GTX285 neck to neck! I cant believe you would put the 4890 against that crappy @$$ card! When in crossfire and the Nvidia in SLI is where it really gets fun :) I have 2 of the ATI 4890 on crossfire and fuck*n love them (yea it sounds like a small air craft landing in my computer room) but the performance you get over the Nvidia is sooooooo worth it! I know because i ad the GTX260 before these and immediately returned them the next day. I have been a loyal ATI guy for many years and the 1 time i try Nvidia i was disapointed so an ATI person i stay! On a note there is only 1 test the Nvidia beat the ATI in and that was in the Fly By benchmark testing which Nvidia or AMD has always been better at then ATI but ATI raped the Nvidia cards in everything else!
