The Taiwan company Asus presented two new video card Radeon HD 4890. In spite of reference design , Asus developers added a new interesting functionality in those new accelerators. In this case, we deal with the technology voltage tweak. According to Asus statements, the function voltage tweak allows to increase the graphic processor supply voltage using the utility smartDoctor.
On the declared specifications, an increase in the performance can reach 15%. Official accelerators name is : EAH4890/HTDI/1GD5 and EAH4890 TOP/HTDI/1GD5. Each video adapter has 800 stream processors, 1Gb GDDR 5 memory. The cooler occupies two slots, the memory bus is 256 bits. Those cards support CrossFireX and ATI stream. The cost of EAH4890 model is 229 euros, ( 850 MHz/3900 MHz ). The version EAH4890 TOP costs 239 euros (900 MHz/4000 MHz). | ||
