Yesterday AMD presented the six-core processors opteron (Istanbul), and today AMD added different desktop processor. We start from the six-core processors opteron, since they are available several hours ago. Istanbul processors are compatible with motherboard, characterized by socket F, which allow to easily modernize the existing server systems. According to the producer, Istanbul processors  allow to raise the relationship of speed and required power to 34% in comparison with shanghai processors  . Here is the list of Istanbul processor : Opteron 8435 (2.6 GHz) - > $2649; Opteron 8431 (2.4 GHz) - > $2149; Opteron 2435 (2.6 GHz) - > $989; Opteron 2431 (2.4 GHz) - > $698; Opteron 2427 (2.2 GHz) - > $455. All presented opteron processors with six cores have a ACP level not more than 75 W, the hyperTransport 3.0 bus frequency reaches 4800 MHz. To each core, there are 128 KB cache in the first level and on 512 KB cache in the second level, the cache in the third level with 6 MB volume is divided between the six core. The built-in memory controller operates at 2200 MHz frequency. The default core voltage is equal to 1.3 v. Istanbul processors in the versions SE, HE and EE will appear in the second half-year. Simultaneously in AMD Price- list  appeared three new processors opteron socket AM3: Opteron 1389 (2.9 GHz, 75 W) - > $269; Opteron 1385 (2.7 GHz, 75 W) - > $229; Opteron 1381 (2.5 GHz, 75 W) - > $189. These are the first processors opteron socket AM3. From their table analog, they differ in terms of  ECC memory  modules  . These processors can also work in socket AM2/AM2+ motherboards. All new opteron processors are based on D0 stepping. Today were presented new desktop AMD processors : Athlon II X2 250 - > two core, 2 X 1 mb cache in the second level, frequency 3.0 GHz, TDP = 65 W, price $87; Phenom II X2 550 Black edition - > two core, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, frequency 3.1 GHz, TDP = 80 W, free multiplier, price $102; Phenom II X2 545 - > two core, 2 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, frequency 3.0 GHz, TDP = 80 W, OEM; Phenom II X4 905e - > four core, 4 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, frequency 2.5 GHz, TDP = 65 W, price $195; Phenom II X4 900e - > four nuclei, 4 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, frequency 2.4 GHz, TDP = 65 W, OEM; Phenom II X3 705e - > three nuclei, 3 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level,  frequency 2.5 GHz, TDP = 65 W, price $125; Phenom II X3 700e - > three nuclei, 3 X 512 KB  cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, frequency 2.4 GHz, TDP = 65 W, OEM. All these processors use socket AM3 and the bus frequency hyperTransport 3.0, equal to 4000 MHz. Three processors are intended for OEM- market; therefore, in the official Price- list they are not mentioned. Related Products :
